Zynap Names Haroon Sammaraie Chief Technology Officer as the Company Enters Its Second Phase
  • Haroon Sammaraie joined Zynap as Backend Tech Lead in 2024 and stepped up to Chief Technology Officer in July 2026
  • He designed the architecture behind the Zynap platform and its next major release
  • Under Haroon’s leadership, Zynap enters its second phase following its recognition in the Gartner® Emerging Tech Impact Radar™

Barcelona, Spain, September 29 2026 — Zynap, the preemptive security automation platform for MSSPs and enterprise security teams, today announced the appointment of Haroon Sammaraie as Chief Technology Officer to lead technology and engineering through the company’s second phase of growth.

Haroon joined Zynap as Backend Tech Lead when the company was founded in 2024. He was promoted to Principal Engineer in November 2025 as his scope grew to the architecture of the whole platform. He designed and built the systems Zynap runs on. They include the workflow engine at the center of the platform, the execution layer that keeps untrusted security tools isolated at scale, the AI layer that powers its agents and the framework every vendor integration is built on.

He also co-led the rollout of agents inside Zynap itself. Teams across engineering, product, business and marketing moved from chat assistants to coordinated agents that work across the company’s code, data and documentation. Haroon taught them to build their own.

“Haroon has been the technical backbone of this company. The architecture behind our platform and our next major release carry his signature, and this appointment recognizes both his impact and the standard we want for our engineering organization.”

Daniel Solís, Founder and CEO, Zynap

Haroon leads engineering as Zynap is picking up pace. The company’s first phase built the platform and brought NINA, its multi-agent AI engine, to every customer in July. The second phase is already underway. The Zynap Sandbox brought malware analysis into the platform on September 7, and an agent that runs penetration tests autonomously is on the way. So is Zynap’s next major release. It’s the company’s most ambitious yet, and it’s built to be the context of record behind NINA. Zynap will share more about it in the coming weeks.

This month Haroon also introduced the engineering standard every Zynap agentic framework now has to meet, from NINA to the AI projects still to come. It requires every action an agent takes to pass the same governance checks, and it’s written so that AI coding agents can build to it directly.

“The next silo in security isn’t a tool. It’s the agent. Every product now ships its own AI, and few of them talk to each other. The automated attack-surface engine I brought with me from bug bounty became one of Zynap’s core pillars. From the start, we’ve built Zynap to be modular, because technology has to be replaceable, and models are no exception. What lasts is context. That’s where cybersecurity is heading: agents that work as one team, acting preemptively and remembering why.”

Haroon Sammaraie, Chief Technology Officer, Zynap

Haroon combines deep expertise in AI and software architecture with a strong background in offensive security. Before becoming Chief Technology Officer, he served as Zynap’s Principal Engineer and platform architect. Previously, he built extensive experience as a bug bounty researcher for several publicly listed international companies and founded Biscuit EASM, an external attack surface management tool built for bug bounty programs. He also worked in digital forensics at Alvarez & Marsal in Madrid. He holds a degree in software engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Haroon’s appointment comes as Zynap’s customer base keeps growing. Earlier this month, Zynap was named a Sample Vendor for Autonomous Cyber Defense System in the Gartner® Emerging Tech Impact Radar™: Preemptive Cybersecurity. Founded in 2024, it’s the youngest of the nine companies listed for the category. The other eight are Cisco, CrowdStrike, Darktrace, Google, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow and Zscaler.

About Zynap

Zynap is the preemptive security automation platform for MSSPs and enterprise security teams. It augments the stack a team already owns, unifying threat intelligence, exposure management, offensive validation and governed remediation into one operational layer, and turning intelligence and live context into coordinated action that reduces exploitable risk before it becomes an incident. Zynap is vendor and LLM agnostic and requires no rip and replace.

Founded in Barcelona in 2024, Zynap works with MSSPs and enterprise security teams across Europe and Latin America, and is backed by Kibo Ventures and Kfund.
