Zynap Use Case Featured in the Gartner® Top Use Cases Report on Preemptive Cybersecurity
  • Gartner finds that AI-augmented attacks have shortened breakout times from hours to minutes and reduced the time defenders have to respond
  • Zynap’s platform helped a large European retail bank scale its security posture without adding headcount or replacing what it already had in place
  • The third Gartner report in a month to include Zynap, following two Sample Vendor listings in September

Barcelona, Spain, October 7, 2026 — Zynap, the preemptive security automation platform for MSSPs and enterprise security teams, is featured in the Gartner® report Emerging Tech: Top Use Cases Driving Preemptive Cybersecurity Growth, published on 29 September (G00855133, Bryan Haley). The report includes a Zynap use case in which a large European retail bank runs continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) on Zynap’s automation platform.

The bank had visibility challenges made worse by its expanding attack surface, so it extended its Zynap deployment to run CTEM. During the rollout, it brought siloed operations into a single operating framework. The platform coordinated the initial asset discovery, prioritized findings with unified threat intelligence and routed them into validation through the bank’s existing tools. That reduced manual triage and shrank the window of risk exposure. The platform’s offensive agent then ran real exploitation chains to test whether the exposed credentials it surfaced could be used.

“As a result, the client was able to scale its security posture without increased headcount or replacing what was in place.”

Gartner, Emerging Tech: Top Use Cases Driving Preemptive Cybersecurity Growth, 29 September 2026, p. 6

The use case describes the change as a move from a series of disconnected audits to a governed cycle that brings prioritized, high-impact risks into validation and remediation earlier in the exposure life cycle.

Why Gartner Expects Preemptive Spending to Grow

For the report, Gartner collected more than 80 preemptive cybersecurity use cases and case studies from vendors and service providers, and it features ten. It finds that AI-augmented attacks have shortened breakout times from hours to minutes. It expects preemptive cybersecurity solutions to account for 50% of IT security spending by 2030, up from less than 5% in 2024, and to replace stand-alone detection and response as the preferred approach to defending against cyberthreats.

Gartner groups the Zynap example with use cases on complex, legacy environments, where replacing or updating critical infrastructure would be expensive or impractical. It expects vendors that can harden those environments with minimal disruption to capture market opportunities in sectors such as finance.

How the Three Reports Fit Together

It’s the third Gartner report in a month to include Zynap. On 11 September, Gartner listed Zynap as a Sample Vendor for Autonomous Cyber Defense System in the Emerging Tech Impact Radar™: Preemptive Cybersecurity. On 28 September, it listed Zynap as a Sample Vendor in Agentic Security: Preemptive Exposure Management Demands AI-Driven Validation and Autonomous Interdiction, which calls for validation that proves what’s exploitable and for working through the controls customers already have. This use case shows both at a customer.

About Zynap

Zynap is the preemptive security automation platform for MSSPs and enterprise security teams. It augments the stack a team already owns, unifying threat intelligence, exposure management, offensive validation and governed remediation into one operational layer, and turning intelligence and live context into coordinated action that reduces exploitable risk before it becomes an incident. Zynap is vendor and LLM agnostic and requires no rip and replace.

Founded in Barcelona in 2024, Zynap works with MSSPs and enterprise security teams across Europe and Latin America, and is backed by Kibo Ventures and Kfund.
